Fool-proof and faff-free, here's the most effective method for creating curls

1 Grip hair into sections – the smaller the sections, the curlier hair will be

2 Starting at the root, wind hair around the barrel of a heated tong, making sure the ends don't escape. Clamp the tongs around them for a few seconds

3 Leave each curl in place until the whole head is finished and hair has cooled into shape
